The first time I heard this song I only understood the chorus and I was starting to wonder what the song meant. Originally, I thought it was about a guy who wanted his girl back. In reality, the song is about death/loss and wanting someone back after they left.

I couldn't help to think about this tune because I talked to this guy I met from my film classes. No, nobody died. But I couldn't help to think about how sometimes we want things to go back to what they once were.
