Last Saturday. Jojo and I went to the Nordeast Music Festival, in what it lacked in actual musicality and social-ness it gained in drunken grungeiness ( Jojo and I didn't have any drinks, we abide by the "x" of sobriety.)
We had gone through hours of trying to find more people to talk to, since everyone looked like they were about fifty years old. We finally found a girl who looked like she was younger too. She introduced herself as "Mari Shells" ( a fake name?), who was a so-called "scenester". She took out her Ipod full of obscure and local indie shit. Some that both Jo and I didn't even recognize. She seemed semi-awkward (aren't we all?), but she was pretty cool.
Anyway, one of the bands that she talked about was Tokyo Police Club, I had heard of them but knew none of their songs. Ironically, that night when I came home I heard them on The Current (89.3). Now they are the song of the day.
Random Thought: Is a man-made nature ever natural?
