Digital Love by Mobius Band (Daft Punk Cover)
I don't know what I have in mind today. Not any extremely deep thoughts. I guess that's what I get for watching Pretty Little Liars on ABC Family. It has an interesting yet cheesy concept that can be predicted by the title of the show but there is a storyline of a girl who likes her teacher. Somehow, BOTH of them find reason within their relationship. I mean, they both like each other and it feels right when they're together, ha! Yet the teacher doesn't like that it would be embarrassing to show up with some girl who is in high school. I realized that this is interesting thought. I mean, I graduated high school this June and I have to admit, you do think you're mature and you like people who are not as fit for you as it seems. I liked a teacher and he was adorable. If a lovely student teacher kissed me or told me that they wanted to see me, how would I know how to make a mature choice? I could've turned 18 like a month ago while they've been an adult for nearly a decade or more. So, I wonder about these writers, what are they trying to do? Glorify these relationships? Or fill girls with these strange fantasies? Better yet, why are these teachers almost always single? I bet they aren't always and maybe not even usually. And why are they ridiculously attractive? This is a little ridiculous. I mean, the girl in the show goes to the teacher's house- OH WAIT, I mean APARTMENT. Doesn't he have neighbors? Apartment buildings aren't quiet nor private. I think the only thing honest about a relationship like this is the teacher. I mean, you have to admit. There is a lack of boundaries if their ONLY reason why they would not date them is because of other people's opinion. It's an adorable fantasy to be kissing that hot teacher yet I realized as a student, I have to ask myself why do I like some guy who is at a completely different place than of my life. I mean, they're ready to date/marry and drink and be a teacher and what not while I still can't drink legally and I'm single and ready to make some big choices and go to college. Hmph. I don't know.
The whole student hot for teacher storyline is beyond creepy. It's sad that shows are gloryfying this and that our society accepts it. I mean, there are boundries that we have to keep sometime.
