The Only Exception by Paramore For the longest time, I never liked Paramore. But a while back ago, I heard this song and actually loved it. The only way it could get better is if Laura Marling covered it.
The song reminds me of how love seems to be avoidable and diminishing. We go through examples of how love can be strained and our hearts can easily be broken from anything. But even though it happens, no matter if we are scared of the unknown, we find that we still like people and really it's one person. The closer we get to a person, the more we know is at stake..so we fear commitment. Sooner or later, despite the fear, if we really care about someone, they become an exception and this all open your heart to more of what the world has to offer.
