Blind by Korn

One thing that many of my friends do not know about me is that I used to like A LOT of heavy metal/hard rock music. I think I got out of the phase after Headbanger's Ball disappeared, Brian Welch found God, and I discovered Zero 7. I mean, I was still listening to Straylight Run, Taking Back Sunday, and Bright eyes. I never stuck myself in one category. I listen to Motown a lot. But people ask me what are my favorite artists? Korn is always on the list because they let me feel not ashamed for the low points of my life.

If music was always about the happy stuff, it would suck. Korn talks about the stuff you don't tell your friends, the moments that you are so angry or excited. I mean, I can't imagine Coldplay screaming or beat-boxing in the middle of a song. Not even Radiohead can't capture some of the emotions of Korn...and vice versa. But I miss it. So, beware if you play a Korn tune, I might sing along.
