Simply put, life happened. People weaved in and out of my life while responsibilities settled for the long haul. Letting other people's lives affect me greatly, I've lost some grounding of what truly makes me happy and propels me forward.

I don't remember the last time I danced to my music or biked to some place I've never seen or watched a foreign film. The past few months, my boyfriend's apartment has been my cave. Considerably lost was my place, my sense of home. It would be easy to say that it is my address, the place I have keys to. But in my heart, home is something else that felt attainable before things changed.

Tonight I got a wake-up call. I need to loosen up, get my stuff done, and live my life to the fullest. I lost that sense of purpose that lingered and dwindled through time. It's only my fault, nobody else. I don't know where it will take me. But I'll figure it out.

Not sure what it is about compassion. It seems that nowadays, people are only compassionate to what they can relate to or they think whoever has the prettiest sounding position on issues are somehow more compassionate. After a while, I began to ask, "Do I care about anything? Am I compassionate? Do I care to understand other people's shoes?"

After a bit of thought, I seemed less compassionate because I don't talk about other people's striking ordeals, I don't really know and understand the entirety of anyone's lives because I'm not living it. But I was walking to the store as I saw an old lady with a walking crutch get out of her car. It seemed pretty hard. Although I never had to use a crutch, as I was leaving the store, I helped the lady to her car and she told me, "It makes me feel a bit safer just by you being here." It's always great to help someone even if you don't know what it's like in their position.

The Time (Dirty Bit)

Last night was interesting. As I was cleaning the house in my Cinderella rags, my friend called me asked if I wanted to go clubbing. It was my first time.

First off, it takes me a while to warm up to dancing. But it was warmed up fast, it's nice to know I must've been looking pretty cute, guys hitting on me and my friends. It was fun, the dancing, there weren't many cute guys though. Then again, there weren't many pretty girls. Interesting.

Would I ever go clubbing again? Sure.

Clubbing is empty, there could be so many people, but there are so many chickens. No sense of real confidence. No one should feel like dressing like a slut would make guys want you more, they just see that you're easier. And guys can come across so cheesy. These times, I'm tellin' ya.
